This is my first time testing this, so I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. The sampling is excellent as is the programming. I have retired my Scarbee Wurly library since buying Soniccouture's Broken Wurly. Fans of customization will appreciate it, as well as those looking for an ultra-responsive and dynamic Rhodes capable of handling complex interactions between notes: a definite advantage of modeling over sampling. This way you can use Scarbee Funk Guitarist as a great composer tool too, so that in any song you can have a bass play along as well.
Toured and performed with Sting, Roberta Flack, Sheryl Crow and Stevie Wonder. Worked with many artists, like Natalie Cole, Tom Jones, The Crusaders or Adam Ant. I compared then to the C3 that's in our church. The Soniccouture library seems better able to react to playing nuances, and is quite versatile even if you're looking for clean. I just picked it up as part of a cheap upgrade to the entire V-collection. Still trolling presets and haven't latched onto any favorites. I get pops and glitches.
Once again I have to raise the question asked here before, why won't Nord offer me a Pianet for download to my E3? That's the Wurlie I used to use. I haven't even loaded the new Neo-Soul yet. An instrument that couldn't be more complete and will surely seduce the most ambitious, especially considering that the price of the whole bundle is very reasonable. The playability and dynamics are off the chart as it's using quasi-modeling. With both, I don't think anyone would be wanting for more Wurli samples. And for the price, you need to be crazy to deny yourself the pleasure. Even the one in Pianoteq has improved with version 4.
April 10, 2019 You need good ears to create great music - that's the most important thing! I love the Scarbee instruments. I converted the Scarbee library from Kontakt format. He really knows how to make a sampled keyboard instrument musical and enjoyable to play. Also Demos are included in the links. I'd like to increase the tremolo effect but I seem to recall that involves using the computer-based editor, is that correct? Have not tried the Soniccouture, but will probably grab it at some point.
